Peptide Therapy

What are Peptides?

Peptides are defined as small protein molecules that exert a signaling effect in the body.  Rather than drugs that act on certain molecular targets, peptide molecules act more as hormones or signals throughout the body, producing large effects by working on the control and regulation of the body’s key processes.

Peptides are a novel class of medications that have distinct mechanisms.  One thing that they have in common is that they are new medications that are sometimes hard to obtain.

Our life’s work and professional calling involves bringing access to innovative clinical solutions and the use of peptide therapy fits into this category.

The peptides we use are always sourced from licensed pharmacies according to national and state pharmacy standards.  Many competitor products over the internet may be cheaper and available without the use of a physician, but these products are invariably labelled as “experimental only” and not for human consumption.  In contrast, when you receive a product with a  doctor’s prescription from a licensed pharmacy, you can be sure that product has met stringent standards for safety and effectiveness.

Also, although some peptides are “commercially” available (at the regular pharmacy), oftentimes the commercial preparations are made available at high prices due to the market structure of the pharmaceutical industry.  By getting products from a compounding pharmacy, which create the peptides individually from the raw materials, we can assure access to these products for our patients without the considerable price markup sometimes encountered at the “commercial” pharmacies.

Our physician has received extensive training in the use of these products from the organizations A4M (the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine), ACAM (the American College for the Advancement of Medicine) and SSRP (Seeds Scientific Research and Performance Institute), among others.
